Just wanted to make a correction to my earlier posting regarding Joseph Ford Pelot. I erred when I said he sold the property in 1869. I have discovered that Joseph sold the house in the middle of the conflict, April 1st, 1863, having sold two other parcels, one at Isle of Hope and the other in Troup Ward, the previous fall.
