Early Pellegrins

My uncle from France has done a lot of research on early Pellegrins. He has traced them back to just before king Henri IV period (1594). The Pellegrin family has strong roots from a Village called Magagnose, 5 km east of Grace in the South of France. They were peasants working the land. My uncle traced our oldest ancestor to Honoré Pellegrin born in Magagnose 1617. I hope this helps.
