Hello - I am trying to discover the link between certain PELLETIER & PELKEY individuals who lived either at the same address or next door to each other in Concord, NH, in the 1880s and 1890s - they may have known each other in Nicolet, PQ, before making the move to New England.

As we can see, several PELKEY and PELLETIER individuals live with or very near to one another, and most of them work for the James R. Hill & Company, a leather-goods manufacturer.
Philip C. PELKEY was born in Nicolet, PQ, Jun. 30, 1827, to Antoine ANTAYA-PELLETIER & Seraphine TOUPIN. He and his family came to NH about 1858, and first appear in the Concord Directory in 1864. He is a life-long harness maker, as are is sons Charles E. PELKEY, Oscar G. PELKEY, and Napoleon PELKEY. The fact that so many PELKEYs and PELLETIERs live so close to each other, and that they are almost all harnessmakers, makes me think that these people are all somehow related. I am just trying to establish *how*.
There is a Hilaire PELLETIER who dies in Littleton, NH, in 1938. According to his death certifcate, he was born in Nicolet, PQ, to Charles PELLETIER and Julie FONTAINE; he is the great-great-grandson of Hyacinthe PELLETIER. Philip C. PELKEY was also born in Nicolet, and is also a great-great-grandson of Hyacinthe. I do not yet know if this Hilaire PELLETIER and the one listed above are the same individuals, but the fact that this Hilaire PELLETIER of Littleton is the cousin of Philip C. PELKEY makes me think that he is the same Hilaire PELLETIER who lived in Concord in the 1870s. Hilaire PELLETIER of Littleton also had a brother, Joseph PELLETIER, and there is a Joseph PELLETIER living with Hilaire PELLETIER in Concord in 1897 - but that is hardly definitive proof - every other Canadian at this time is a Joseph!
Thank-you for your help!
