Carmen Welcome to the great mystery of genealogy. John Peet is a very common name in my Peet family. I even have a Marion Jackson who was married to my grandfather's brother. Besides names, you need birth dates and places. All siblings that you can find. Go to the oldest living member of each family, they are your best first resource of information. Cemeteries and courthouses would probably come next along with historical societies. A lot of information is now available online including many census records and cemetery lists. Because some names are very common, such as John, dates and places will be of great help and so will siblings. Many families use names from one generation to the next so it can be very confusing. Genealogy is addicting. Each new fact you find will lead you to others. Enjoy. Glenda Notify Administrator about this message?
