Hi Crystal,
It's interesting that your Gideon PEET b. 1776 moved from CT to New York before 1804 like my 4 great grandmother, Mrs. Mary MERRITT PEET [widow] [1771-1868] who married Oct. 1796 Jacob GOUGE, Sr. [1765-1848] who moved from Connecticut to New York in 1793 and helped blaze the trees for the road from Utica to Trenton, Oneida Co., NY, when it was a wilderness.

Seeking Mary's husband's 1st name, and her daughter by 1st marriage was Anna PEET b. before 15 March 1796 and her children by 2nd marriage born between 1797 and 1814 in Trenton, Oneida Co., NY, were Charles GOUGE [my ancestor], Sibyl, Eunice, Rebecca, Esther, Mary Merritt, George and Jacob GOUGE, Jr.
