A message posted several years ago by Carol Thomas mentioned the marriage of Jeannette Fairborn Mahone to Benjamin Clemets Peete, both of Limestone County, Alabama. This lady almost certainly was a first cousin of my great-grandfather, Charles Hazelwood Word, by Charles's sister, Jane. Both of these women were very likely named for their grandmother and mother, respectively. I would sincerely appreciate a response from anyone who has some information on this couple and their family.
