Philip Peery and the German Peerys

In June 2007, I posted a query regarding Philip Peery of Botetourt County, Virginia (#556) focusing on his ethnic origins, which I believed to be German. Several replies followed that added useful information to the discussion, and I also received some offline comment. Since that time I have continued to search for evidence that this Philip Peery was German (vs. Scots-Irish as were the well-known Peery brothers of Augusta and later Tazwell Counties). Based upon that effort, I am now essentially 100% certain that Philip was of Germanic origins, which is consistent with "tradition" in my Peery-Miller lineage. I compiled that information in a brief paper which I am making available to anyone interested in Philip and his descendants. It's about 9 pages long and in Word for Mac. If you would like a digital copy, please send me an email, and I will forward your copy as soon as I can. Dave Davis
