In rereading my post of yesterday, Dec 7, I realized that I had made an error which this will correct. The legal agreement to which I refered was between Philip Peery (not Joseph) and Philip's son Abraham. Philip is believed to have been Joseph's son, so the conclusions regarding ethnic origins still apply. My apologies for any confusion.
