Hello,
I have info only about the following James s/o John Peery, Blacksmith.
theJohn Peery who was distinguished by the name of "Long John" and who is also mentioned in the county records as "John Peery, Blacksmith."
He was born in Augusta County, Virginia, where he married Nancy Martin in 1772. Their children were all born in the Clinch Valley and their names were: JAMES, DAVID, CATHERINE, JANE, ARCHIBALD, GEORGE AND JONATHAN. Of these, two of his sons, David and George, remained in Tazewell County and settled on the lands they inherited from their father. The others moved to Kentucky, and Missouri. "John Peery, Blacksmith" died at Burksville, Kentucky, at the home of one of his children, about the year 1817.
My ancestor was the James Peery b. 1776.
JAMES M. PEERY was born 1776 in Tazewell Co. Virginia, and died 18 August 1843 in Tamoroa, Perry Co., Illinois - buried Peery Cemetery. He married PHEBE PICKENS 16 March 1802 in Tazewell Co. Virginia, daughter of THOMAS PICKENS and SARAH BROWN.She was born 07 March 1785 in Virginia, and died 27 February 1884 in Tamoroa, Perry Co., Illinois - buried Peery Cemetery.
After Tazwell Co. VA, James and Phoebe were in Cumberland Co. KY.
Under TAZEWELL DEEDS MENTIONING PLACES OF RESIDENCE OTHER THAN TAZEWELL:Cumberland Co. KY Peery, James & Phebe (my Pickens); William Perry, also Peggy PICKENS - all heirs of John Peery, blacksmith, of Tazewell.
1820 Cumberland Co. KY Census: 155 - James Peery
1830 Cumberland Co. KY Census: - 522 James Peery
By 1840 - James and Phebe were in Illinois.
1840 - With husband James (name spelled Perry) in Perry Co. IL
1850 - Pheby listed in the household of son Cornelius (across the line from Perry Co. in Washington Co.
1860 - Pheby listed in the household of
1870 - Pheby listed in the household of son, James M. in Perry Co.
1880 - Pheby listed in the household of son, James M. in Perry Co.(age - 95; b. in VA; father b. in VA; mother b. in VA)
James and Phebe had a daughter namedSarah.A descendant gave me the info - that daughter Sarah married William Christian(I did no research on Sarah myself - Sarah did have a brother named Cornelius and Sarah Christian was close by across the county line in 1850, with a son named Cornelius. That's all I really know about her.

If my info about Sarah's husband is correct, you can eliminate James b. 1776, s/o John Peery, Blacksmith. If it's incorrect - let me know.
