Does anyone have any info on my great great grandfather
and his family?
He was Carl Milton Peery, also known as C. Milton and
Milton Peery, 1817-? of Albany, Missouri, and formerly of
Tazewell, Virginia. His first wife was Sarah A., and
they had a son, Samuel W., born in 1840. His second
wife was Joanna Brace Garrett, raised in Indiana.
Also need info re his children: Ellen Rachel Peery,
1857-1924, of Albany, Missouri, who first married
George Washington Hill of Albany, and then on his
death, Silas Albert McCrary, a first cousin of George
Hill. Ellen is buried in the Wayman Cemetery north
of Albany next to Mr. Hill.
Ellens' sister, Sarah E. Peery, born 1864, who married
William Rush Thompson, and Sarah and William are
buried in the MaGee Cemetery north of Albany.
Ellens' brother, Steven Alexander Peery, born 1861,
died 1931, of Albany. He married Sarah Frances (Fannie)
Whitley 1869-95, and on her death Lucindia Whitely of
Albany.
Steven is buried in Nelson, Nebraska.
