My aunt, Lura Wainwright married Peery (Perry) Mercier who was born July 4, 1884 in New Orleans. I have just found a newspaper
notice of their marriage. It states,"...left Sunday for New Orleans where they will visit Madame Peery, aunt of Mr. Mercier, and
other relatives for a few days." I know nothing except he was supposed to have come from a well-to-do family. At one time I
had some school papers from a private academy he attended in New Orleans. He was a delightful, peppery, little Frenchman,
