French Family lore question / red hair

Hi Terry,
When you say "French" family, are you referring to a Peery line from France or are you referring to a family with the surname of French?
If there is a French (last name) family are they connected to the Peerys?
I find the red hair mention interesting; especially about skipping a generation. My husband, Bruce Peery, has brown hair, his sister has blonde hair, I have brown hair (a little bit of red hilights, not much)and our daughter has red hair.
Are the red-haired Peerys known for their tempers or other personality traits :-)
