My John L Peers was born in 1868. Where? Not really sure - I have been to the PRO and I can't find him there but I'm sure that a little more research will do it. My mum tells me that the Mum's of the generation in question were always pregnant or giving birth and that the mortality rate in children was really high. Her Grandmother lost as many as survived and there was a birth every year for about 20 years!

Do you have the census on cd? I can send you an attachment if you like - let me know.

Regards

David
