Monte & Sue,
Unfortunately, I did not find your Alexander Peer in the material I have. The reference I mentioned does talk of two Peers in Kansas:George W. Peer in Smith County,KS ... and Abram Peer in Smith County as well.
The source is:Genealogy of Philip Peer and Rebecca Parrill Peer, Peter Miller and Elizabeth Jackman Miller, Their Ancestors and Descendants.Researched and Compiled by Violet Dial DeMoure and Kathleen Dial Rice, 1979.Printed by Ellsworth Printing Company, Ellsworth, Kansas.I located this at the Denver Public Library, where the catalog number is:G929.2P345dem
Chapter I has information on Shenandoah County, Virginia and Philip (1) Peer. (pgs 1-10)
Chapter II deals with Philip (2) Peer.(pgs 11-16)
Chapter III is about Jane Peer.(pgs 17-18)
Chapter IV is about George W. Peer (Kansas)(pgs 19-40)
Chapter V:Benjamin L. Peer(pgs 41-50)
Chapter VI:Lydia Peer Wilbur and Family(pgs 51-72)
Chapter VII:Caroline Peer Stern and Family(pgs 73-74)
Chapter VIII:Abram Peer and Family (KS) (pgs 75-96)
*Note:Chapters 3-8 are children of Philip (2) Peer.
Chapter IX:Parrills of Virginia(pgs 97-112)
Chapter X deals with Philip (2) Peer's siblings:John, Mathias, Margaret, Elizabeth, Henry, David and Jacob, plus some unidentified Peer ancestors in Virginia.(pgs 112-144)
I have copies of chapters I, II, V, and IX, but not chapter X.
It took me about 3 years after learning of the existence of this book to finally track it down. And it was worth it as it gave me information on my Peer line from my ggrandmother August Emoline back to Philip (I).For Philip I and II it has excellent information on where they lived in Shenandoah County, etc.
I hope this might be of some help.
Ron
