Thanks, M, for all the wonderful info. First, which is correct spelling - Drury Murrah Peeples OR Drewry Marrah Peeples? My records show the 1st wife of David William HASSLER to be Mary Amanda (known as Amanda) PEEPLES and they married 20 March 1868-you show 12 March same year. Thomas Jefferson PEEPLES (brother of Amanda) married 1st to Martha J. NORMAN, b. 1843 Fayette Co., AL, d. ca 1901 Dalton, Whitfield, GA (a daughter of my g-g-grandfather) and had five children: Ella J. Peeples, Drury M. Peeples, Minnie Peeples (believed to be named for her grandmother and spelled Mintie), Kate I. Peeples (believed to be named for her mother and spelled Catherine), and Thomas Norman Peeples. Mintie Peeples married a Keith (first name unknown) and had two known children: Thomas J. Keith and Annie Pauline Keith. After death of Martha J. (Norman) Peeples, Thomas Jefferson Peeples married 2nd time in 1902 to Annie SMITH and had two more children: Charles T. Peeples, b. 1903, d. 1936; Shelby C. Peeples, b. 1905, d. 1984. Annie (Smith) Peeples died in Whitfield Co., GA., 6 March 1962 age 87. I show D. M. Peeples, b. ca 1831 GA., married 15 Dec 1853 to Margaret Jane Hassler, b. ca 1838 GA. You show Drewry Morgan Peeples, b. 1853 (could the year 1853 be a first marriage year and NOT birth year?), d. 1922, married 5 March 1876 to Missouri M. Leonard. Is D. M. Peeples and Drewry Morgan Peeples one and same person? How and where do you connect with the Peeples? Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.
