I am another relative of the Peed line. My gggrandmother was Emily Peed b.1829 d. 1861, daughter of James Peed and wife of George Langley Crow. I think I found a discrepancy in one piece of data that you were given on Margaret Wright, wife of James Peed. I also thought that her father/mother were William and Grace Wright as I found documentation to that effect, but I could never find a marriage for William and Grace nor any other info on the parents

However, James and Margaret's marriage indicates that she was an orphan at the time, so I pulled the Orphan's Court records in Norfolk Co. and found that she was an orphan of Jeremy (Jeremiah) Wright. I then found a marriage for Jeremiah Wright and Grace Johnson on Oct 9, 1800 in Norfolk Co. Jeremy was the son of Jeremiah Wright who left a will in Princess Anne County.

William was the brother of the younger Jeremiah Wright and served as guardian to his brothers after the elder Jeremiah Wright passed.

So, it appears that William is more likely Margaret Wright's uncle and acted like a father to her.

I hope this helps as I have been stymied by the William/Grace supposed marriage for some time.

Cheers,
Florence
