Hi paul, it would seen that your wife,s G.Grandfather is indeed one of my grandfathers brothers .I recall my father talking about the "English Uncles" and all the names are the same , my mother who is just 64 now recalls meeting some of them many years ago, the place that my grandfather came from is Kimbolton,in Bedford and his father was from pertenhall, she said that one of the family was a minister in that village ,does this ring a bell. finding out about the irish branch wont take long , as there were only four sons to fred and eliz , and three girls , tow of the girls never married and one of the sons , ernest didnt marry , as far as we can tell there was no other family of pedleys in ireland at all till fred arrieved , i would be very interested in the press cuttings you mention and to cooperate in traceing back the line ,

regards , james
