hi Angela,
This is fabulous informaiton! Everard is a family name (3 generations that we know of, starting with Thomas John Everard Pedley, have used it as a middle name). Obviously, Everard was an important man.

I've gotten conflicting information about the origin of the name Everard. One source says it's a Welsh surname, the other source says it's German. My mother-in-law says there is a Welsh background in the family but we don't know where or when or who.
