Hello,
My grandmother, Catherine Pedley, was born in 1899 in
County Mayo. I believe she had two half brothers, but she was the only child of the marriage between her mother (her name was either Bridget or Bessie - Bessie may have been a
nickname - Conway) and Mr. Pedley. All we know of Mr. Pedley is that he met Bridget/Bessie in NY, they married
and returned to Co. Mayo. Mr. Pedley worked on a British ship, but that is all that is known of him. Apparently, the marriage either dissolved or Mr. Pedley died as my grandmother never had any recollection of him.
Catherine Pedley came to NY in 1915 where she married in
1920. She died in 1960.
This is the first time I have found this last name on any
of the searches and I am wondering if any one would know
any info. about this family. Thanks, Annie
