Genealogy from PEDDE Rome Italy 2001

Dear Sirs,

my name is Giacomo Pedde, 74, and I live in Rome, in Italy. Since several years I am tryng to conduct a research on my surname. I come from a small village named Bottida in Sardinia, an island in the mid of the Mediterranean Seas, and it seems - from my researches, the the origins of the Pedde surname are in Germany. In addition an american friend told me that Peddy could be the erroneous translation of Pedde made by the immigration officers in the past when foregneirs with this surneme came to US.

Can I ask all of you if you could please share with me any information you may have on the above subject.

Thank you very much,

Giacomo Pedde
