Hi Cousins, I am Carolyn Shimek in Houston, TX, daughter of Cecile Bernadette Pecot. Her father George is the son of Paul who is the son of Pierre Alfrede, the son of Charles who was born in Santo Domingue in 1782 and with his mother and brothers and sisters escaped the slave uprising in the 1790ís to Jamaica where they lived a few years before coming to Louisiana about 1803. I have a copy of the very interesting story of their travels if anyone doesnít have it and would like a copy. I also have the line back to Jacques Pecot born about 1660 and his wife Francoise Roualt. Let me hear from you if you need any of this.
