It seems that most of the German/Swiss Pecks around the 1700's were PICK's. Upon arriving in the U.S. most Pick's settled in Pa & later into Allegany and Garrett Counties MD & the name Pick was changed to Peck, for what reason I only heard that it was for the way it was pronounced but who kows.
I have the Peck/Pick back to 1705 and Joannis Pick and Anna Klinckhammer my gggggg grandparents. Would like to go further
but it seems to be difficult so any help would be appreciated.
