Dear Mr. Peck; I have the same problem that you are having regarding an ancestor who is reported , by eye-witness, as having boarded the ship "Defense" with two others whose names do appear on the passenger lists I've seen but My ancestors John Russell, Philip Russell and John Russell Jr., do not appear on any of the passenger lists for Defense arriving in Boston Fall of 1635.
