Hunathan Peavey/Peavy lived in Northwest Township, Brunswick Co NC in a community called Byrdville, a few miles east of Lake Waccamaw NC. He was granted land in Brunswick Co (now Columbus Co Ransom Township)between 1834-1837.
1860 Federal Census Brunswick Co NC Northwest Township:
H.N. Peavy age 48 occupation blacksmith
Mary E. age 45
Lazarus age 23 occupation laborer
Levi age 17 occupation laborer
Laura age 10
Joseph R. Jones
Some of these Peavys migrated into Horry Co SC.
