Born in Dunkirk, moved to Mass. as a child, resided in Niskayuna for 25 years, had a summer residence in East Otis, Mass.
Survivors include his wife, Rosann De Meo Peavey, married May 11, 1985; a daughter, Debbie Peavey of East Hampton, Mass.; his mother, Dorothy Colburn Peavey of Springfield, Mo., two brothers, Richard and Thomas Peavey, both of Springfield, Mo., a sister, Peggy Pilgrim of East Hampton, Mass.
Services at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Schenectady.
