Dear Verne,

I have Riley listed in my records, together with the children you list and the same dates. I have his wife's name as Sohpia Dunton, and I have marriages and some children listed for seven of the nine children. He appears in the 1840 and 1850 US census as a laborer in Jefferson, ME (with an estate of $150). He was the ninth of nine children born to Jonathan Peaslee and his third wife Jenny (or Jane) Hilton. Jonathan (b. 1-Sep-1754/5 in Haverhill, MA) was the eighth of 10 children born to Nathan Peaslee and Lydia Gove. Nathan Peaslee (b.1711 in Haverhill, MA) was the sixth child of 11 born to John Peaslee and Mary Martin. John Peaslee (b.1769 in Haverhill, MA) was the fourth child of 8 born to Joseph Peaslee and Ruth Barnard. Joseph Peaslee (b. 1646 in Haverhill, MA) was the fifth child of five born to the original immigrant to America: Joseph Peaslee (b. ~1598 in England). What else do you want to know? Send email (peaslee@hope.edu) and I'll try to help.

GRAHAM
