I also tried to find him in KS, no luck. I am assuming that Henry W. Pease and Sarah L. Davis married in KS, but maybe it was Ohio as she was born in 1850 in Ohio. The first child was born in 1882 in Abilene, KS. Sarah's father is John Davis, a United Brethren Church minister.
The story handed down was that she and the children went on the train with his body to White River Junction or Jellico Junction, Vermont where he was born for burial. I can't find Jellico Junction on the map. Thus assume it was White River Junction.
Sarah's cousin said that Sarah's family did not like him and neither did she (the cousin) but she would not tell our aunt anything about Henry. Maybe he was older and that would explain the dislike.

Are you a Pease descendant?
