Emily, for some reason your Belinda Pease (b.28 Sept 1802 probably in Hope, Knox Co., Maine) is listed in Rick Bart's great bookTHE PEASE FAMILY FROM GREAT BADDOW, ENGLAND (1,000 pages!)as "Elina" Pease (m. Oliver Simmons).
"Elina" may be in error. Do you have a source for her name as "Belinda"? Rick delights in correcting errors in his great book so I'm sure he'd want to hear of this.
At any rate, Belinda's (or Elina's)Pease line of ancestors is:
James (10) 1765-1847, James (9) 1725-1798, Nathan (8) ca. 1687-1741, James (7) ca. 1664-bef. 1711, James (6) 1636-1719, John (5)(the immigrant from Ipswich, England, to Boston, Ma, inApril 1634 on the ship FRANCIS) 1607-ca. 1685, Robert (4) 1565-1623, John (3) 1540-1612, John (2) 1510-1556, Robert (1) ca. 1485-1547.
I'm also sure that Rick and other Pease researchers would love to learn of Belinda's (or Elina's) & Oliver Simmons' family. Can you tell us more about it? Oliver's d. & p. of birth & death, d. & p. of their marriage, names & dates of all the children, etc.? If you can help us fill in those blanks, we'd be very grateful.
By the way, Belinda (or Elina) is my first cousin four times removed, so I'd be especially happy to learn of her & her family. Emily, are we cousins then, too?
(Also by the way, by any chance is your husband Simmons related to Henry C. Simmons of Union, Me., and Henry C. Simmons, Jr., who died in the Southwest Pacific in World War II? He is my cousin whom I'm researching at the present time.
I'd love to hear if he is.)
