The documents were guardian bonds. Samuel Bailey’s estate had 30 slaves and 2,000 acres. At the time of his death Samuel had seven minor children.
I believe Tabitha’s marriage to Samuel Bailey was her first marriage. Bounchier must have been Tabitha’s middle name, Tabitha Bounchier Pearson. I did find the document below, could be a connection.
