Can you clarify what the documents are that you mentioned? It sounds like they are guardian bonds. I doubt that they paid 1000 pounds to the Governor as you list in the second document, but would only have to pay that if they defaulted on carrying out whatever was specified on the the bond.
Tabitha BALEY (sic) had a marriage bond on 18 Sep. 1792 with Nicholas W. GAITHER (son of Basil). Harry Wright Newman, _Anne Arundel Gentry_, stated "It is said that her full name was Tabitha Bounchier Pearson Bailey."
So, the question is, did she have a marriage prior to Samuel BAILEY to a BOUNCHIER?
