I’m researching Samuel Bailey that lived and died in Rowan County NC. Samuel Bailey’s first wife was named Sarah; they were married about 1760 in Rowan Co. Samuel and Sarah named a son Richmond Bailey born about 1782. Sarah died and Samuel married Tabitha Pearson 11 Aug 1789 in Rowan Co. The documents below, shows a Richmond Pearson listed with Tabitha “Pearson” Bailey. Does anybody know the relation ship between Tabitha and Richmond Pearson? Sarah named a son Richmond, could Sarah’s maiden name have been Pearson? Could Sarah and Tabitha have been sisters or first cousins? Tabitha named sons Daniel and Nimrod Bailey. Thanks for any help.
