Sion Pearson, 2nd marriage?

Does anyone have information on Sion Pearson, born 1788, the father of Joseph and Sion J. Pearson? I have been researching Rebecca Fryer who was born around 1786 in TN and died around 1857 in Van Buren Co., TN. She was married 4 times and I think her 2nd husband may have been Sion Pearson.

Her 1st marriage was to Job Fancher in 1802 in Sevier Co, TN. Job died in 1814. According to various court records, she then married Sion Pearson in 1815. I don't know what happened to Sion Pearson, but around 1818-1820, she married a 3rd time to Charles Carter and they moved to White Co., TN. He died in 1830 and she then married Jacob Stipe.

I don't know anything about the marriage to Sion Pearson, but a saw a posting of a letter from Sion J. Pearson and William F. Carter (Rebecca's son from marriage #3) to Rebecca Stipe and Joseph Pearson. Sion J. Pearson and William F. Carter were in Carroll Co., Ark and they were writing to Joseph Pearson in Putnam Co., TN. Rebecca was quite old, she had left her 4th husband and was living with Joseph Pearson. They referred to her as their mother and were writing to say they were coming to get her and bring her to Arkansas. This implies that Sion J. Pearson was her son as well.

Is it possible that Sion Pearson had a second wife, Rebecca Fryer Fancher, who he married in 1815 and that she was the mother of Sion J. Pearson? Joseph Pearson would then be her step-son. When did Sion Pearson (the father) die?

If anyone can help me sort this out, I would sure appreciate it!
