Diane, My family tree has your Silas in it. It was put together by C. Kenneth Pearse of Durango, Colorado, in 1983. I don't have any information about daughters of Silas! Some of the information came from a distant cousin, Walter, living in Devon prior to 1983. This is the narrative: "Silas was baptized April 14, 1789 in Plymstock. Our knowledge of him and his issue is fragmentary. According to Walter, Silas was a butcher who lived in Creston. He took a contract to haul stone for the Plymouth breakwater, but failed and then went to Australia. I believe he went to the Perth area. We have no further record of him and he may have died in Australia." "Silas married Maria Grigg in Stoke Demeral on July 1, 1817. The couple had five boys all born in Plymstock. Of these two died in infancy and we have record of only one having fathered children." "The sons of Silas and Maria; I. John Green, Ch. 1818, d. infancy II. John, Ch. 1822. Traveled to Australia with family. Returned and lived at Cawsand. Three sons, i. Frederick was a bachelor, ii.
