Some Lambert researchers have wildly contradictory versions of their line because I think the are ignoring the significance of Amy Pearsall's marriage to Phillip Lambert in 1749 in Craven Co., N.C. I'm hoping some Pearsall historians can tell me whether I'm on the right track:
Based on some circumstantial evidence and guesswork, I think Phillip, a Norfolk, Va., native born around 1727, married Amy in 1749 and they migrated shortly thereafter to Rowan Co., N.C. After several children, including Phillip Jr., were born, Amy died and Phillip Sr. remarried. Phillip Jr. married, possibly to Mary Evans and their son Pearsall Lambert Sr. was born in about 1785 in Rowan County, N.C. Pearsall migrated to Wythe Co., Va., possibly afer marrying Jincy Harper, by whom son Pearsall Jr. was born in 1805. After Pearsall Sr.'s first wife died and the family migrated to Gallia Co., Ohio. He remarried to Mary Rice in 1810. The couple had several children in the 1820s, including my ancestor Elizabeth Lambert.
This make sense to anyone?
