At last I have found the parents of my gggrandfather, Alexander William Pearre. They are James Pearre (Perry) and Elizabeth - Still need to track down her maiden name.

For those who may be related and were seeking the same information, here is what I have based on the 1850 Federal Census for Noxubee County, Mississippi:

Living in household 741:
James Perry, 55, m, planter, born in GA, real estate valued at $2160
Elizabeth, 45, f, GA
John, 21,m,GA
Amanda, 20, f., GA
Alexander, 15, m, MS
Lucy Ann, 12, f, MS
James, 10, m, MS
Major, 8, m, MS

I knew about Alex, Lucy Ann, James D. and Major T., but I didn't know about Alex's other siblings or who his parents were. Note: The given census listed the surname as Perry, but later census data listed them as Pearre. Based on the birth places of the family members, I would estimate that the family moved from Columbia County, Georgia to Noxubee County, Mississippi between 1830-1835.
