Hello all,

I'm in the north of Ireland. My grandfather, Richard, was born in Topsham, Devonshire in 1875 to Richard Peake but I don't know the name of his mother. In 1902 he married Richard Peake married Esther Rebecca Hulme at Kirkdale, Lancashire. They are buried at Shirwell Parish Graveyard, North Devon which is a small village near Barnstaple ... they lived in Barnstaple from the late 1920s or early 30s.

I think my Peake line go bach to the late 14th century when tinminers moved from Derbyshire to work in the Royal Silver Mines in Devonshire.

All the Best, Christopher
