Wow, that's very impressive for what you call "a little research" !It took me "a lot of research" to get that far...
I guess that James Dearborn Peake's grand-daughter being named Anna Horton Peakes is a clincher.
I have what I think is a lot of information on the Peakes - after J.D. Peakes - all from the Martha's Vineyard Historical Society, their library and fantastic website - http://www.vineyard.net/vineyard/history/dukes/index.htmlhttp://www.vineyard.net/vineyard/history/dukes/index.html
Anna Horton Peakes died young - 8/27/1853.
William Cleveland Peakes moved to California - nothing else known
Nellie Warren Peakes married Captain Charles Edgar Baker, and their daughter Clara was "Aunt Clara" in our family.
Sarah James Peakes married Frederick Osborn Luce, adopted son of Ichabod Norton Luce. The house Ichabod and Fred built in 1869 in what is now Oak Bluffs, is still in our family - it has never been for sale.Fred was my wife's great grandfather.J.D. Peake's house in Vineyard Haven is part of the "Historical District" there.
I.N. Luce and Charles Henry Peakes were both "Argonauts" - sailing from the Vineyard to California in 1849 to join the Gold Rush.INL returned in mid-1850 with $3,000 -an amazing feat when you think that all most adventurers brought back was dysentery.
Sophronia Manchester was a Mayflower descendant several times over.I have traced her line back to William Bradford, William Brewster, and Elizabeth Tilley
What else do you want to know ?I have more dates, and links to current generations.
