Thanks for replying. At the moment my Peak(e)s or Peats are in Ripon North Yorkshire. I have an Elizabeth born 1756 her father is probably Thomas Peake and she married Francis Lonsdale 1796. I have notes my grandfather made in the 1920s including a note from a Sir Francis Peat. The other names I have are Ada Peat/k and John Peat/k. How far back do you have Peakes in Devon? I doubt they're the same line but you never know! Any information much appreciated.
