Hi Frank. I'm so glad I found you.

I am descendant from Henry Fry Jr & Elendes Briggs of the Abbott Creek area in Old Rowan County, NC.

I am trying to figure out if & how these two fit in with the Briggs, Frys & Peacocks that you seem very familiar with.

This Solomy Fry & her children Betsy, Peter, Caroline & Christina that are on the 1850 & 1860 census in Davidson County, NC, have always been a question for me & I have not been able to find any Fry researcher with answers.

Both census records list Solomy as a female, so this has clearly caused some confusion.

You are the first person I have found that has been able to connect these census entries to other families.

I'm curious if you can help me fill in the blanks about this Solomon Fry. Solomon is not a name found in the Old Rowan County Frys. Do you think this Solomon Fry is related to the Henry Fry from just across Abbotts Creek? I see that there are Solomons in the Hedrick line. Could a Fry have married a Hedrick girl & then named his son after her family?

I also know that Constance Peacock married John Lemuel Briggs. I'm not sure if Constance is related to your Elizabeth Peacock's family or not.

My Elendes Briggs' husband, Henry Fry, had 2 sisters that married 2 of John Lemuel Briggs' brothers. I do really think that my Elendes Briggs is related to John Lemuel Briggs' family, but I'm not sure exactly how.

Any light you can shed on either of these mysteries is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Kelly
