I would like information about the surname Peachey. What nationality is it? Where did it originate? Some say from Scotland others say Ireland. Our ancestors originally were Mac Peachey or McPecey (we don't know the spelling, or how it was said.
We were told that Thomas MacPeachey came from somewhere in the North of Scotland to Thorpe Le Saken, Eng. then later moved to Coalchester, Eng.
We don't know where he came from before he was in North Scotland., or if he was born there. We also don't know when or why the surname changed. Do you have any ideas?
My great Grandfather Ernest, his brother Frank, both came to Canada. One brother Claude went to the states, and another brother never left England. There were also several sisters, but we know very little about them.. Do any of these names fit in with your Peachey family histrory? I look forward to hearing what ever inforamtion you might be able to give me.

Thanks Sheila
