Jacob Pea, Knox Co., IN, 1785

The ancestry of the Pea family in Knox Co., IN, has been published in the Knox Co. Genealogical Society, TRAIL TRACER. It also has had an article about the wife of Jacob Pea/Pee, Jr. His wife, Martha Hepner, was a widow. Her maiden name was Overlin. I have done lots of research over the past twenty years on the Pea. Finally, got a line established for DAR membership.

Soon to be published in the TRAIL TRACER is the Macqinet connection. Unfortunately, it is not possible for the editor to do any copying at this time. The Vincennes University in Vincennes, let two staffers go in the Lewis Library and one retired. Volunteers are keeping it open some. The public library will soon have a separate building for the genealogical collection and some records. Not sure exactly what will be there.

I have a 150 page manuscript on the Pie/Pee/Pea family 1735 to about 1990. It is thorough on the first four generation except for son Daniel of Jacob and Rachel (Maquinet) Pie. I think Daniel either died with no heirs or may be the one that was found in the early 1800s in Mississippi.

If you have specific questions, email me.
