I also don't know the names of Charles Payne's parents or Patty's maiden name. Ugh.

Funny ... I was also always told we had Native American (Cherokee) blood in our family. My line is from Sarah's sister Martha who married David Potts:

David Potts + Martha Payne
Ansel Joshua Potts + Nancy Jane Dover
Mattie Jane Potts + Isaac Wilson
Beulah Mae Wilson + Graham Hewitt Brewer
Jessie Mae Wilson + Arnold Marvin Rundell (my grandparents)

My family always said the Indian blood came from Mattie. I've never found any proof. Who knows.
