On another page is the will of Thomas Payn of Frederick County. "Will dtd. 8 July 1765, weak. To son John: Payne's Industry. To son Flayll: That or None. Rest equally among sons and daughters, except one gold ring to dau. Johanna Payn. Signed by Thomas Payn. Wit: John Nicholls, Zachariah Walker, John Best. Proved 16 Oct 1765 by 3 wit. (p. 258)"
