Richard T. Paylor
I have been working on my grandfather's family for years and have hit many brick walls. Richard T. Paylor was my GGGgrandfather. He lived in Virginia and moved in North Carolina. I have found evidence in the NC Archives (years ago) of several Paylor appearing in Person Co., NC in the early 1800's, including Richard, William, and John. These three married women from the Person Co. area and settled there. My line comes down from Richard T. Paylor to Henry M. Paylor to John Ashley Paylor to Kelly Eugene Paylor to Marion Elizabeth Paylor to me. These men and many of their decendents lived in the Concord/Olive Hill area of northern Person Co. and later also in Roxboro, NC.I know these first Paylors in NC came from Virginia, but I have been unable to find any earlier records of where they were.Anyone out there looking for lost Paylors besides me?? Please e-mail me or post on this forum
