HI my name is Clemente Payan I am from a small town in Sinaloa Mexico called La Huerta which is near a bigger town called Mocorito about two hours drive from Culiacan,
like you I have been looking for where my ancestors come from, I found that the Payan name comes from Europe mainly France, go to the Mormon Church web site and check their genealogy records you'll be amazed and fascinated of what you will discover.
