Boyd, I think you are a cousin of mine from Iowa. Anyway, John Paxton was born in Ohio County, West Virginia according to his Civil War Pension records. His marriage to Elizabeth was in Stark County, Ohio. From the migration record that I have found on him his is consistent with the family of Nathaniel Paxton's family. I am trying to find anyone that has information on Nathaniel Paxton of Washington County, PA. To see if my hunch is a good one. Stark County is next to Wayne County Ohio so I feel that there is a good lead to this family.
