Deena,
It'g good to hear from you.I am glad you are interested.
I signed up with a Richard Payton who uses www.familytree.com for DNA research.I have found Richard to be very helpful and his advise has been sound.I would suggest you contact Richard to get started with your Paxton DNA Genealogy.
My story is interesting. After looking at all the DNA websites I found only one with a Paxton. This was Richard Payton's website and Paxton was listed as a varient.I went for it.It took about 6 weeks to get my results back, I did a 37 Marker Test, the other Paxton did a 12 Marker test, but we matched 100% on all twelve markers.
http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/p/payton/http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/p/payton/ This is Payton DNA Project - Paxton is listed as a Varient. Go to the Patriarchs and the Results tabs on his web page and you will see my Pedigree (P-22) and the other Paxton (P-1).On the results tab you will se the DNA Marker Comparison. You will notice that the Pedigree of (P-1) matches Thomas and Elizabeth McClung Paxton.
I am anxious to help were I can and trade what information I have.
Boyd
