Hi Colin,
Well I have got a bit further with the research. You are right, my Pavey's do seem to have come over quite a long time ago! Seems they emigrated to Australia in 1849. Henry Pavey with his Wife Sarah and their daughter Ann. They emigrated from the UK, Colyton in Devonshire. Henry's father is listed as John Pavey, his mother Elizabeth, but now again i have become stuck. Henry's brother also emigrated at the same time, his name Sidney, which has been a big help as his isn't the most common of Pavey names! Have a feeling out two families aren't related by the looks of it though... unless very very far back!
