Hello, Joseph!

I think we're cousins, several times removed. My great-grandmother was Bertha Discher (aka Disher) and Christian and Ingeburg Paulson were her parents. I've been trying to find them on the Ellis Island site, to no avail. I actually just discovered Ingeburg's maiden name this evening when I found Bertha listed in the US Census in 1925. For some reason, it also listed her parents' names.

It was my understanding that at the time of immigration, they were from Schleswig-Holstein, which is now part of Germany, but had been part of Denmark. I didn't know the Paulsons were originally from Kiel.

I'm afraid I have no other information, but it's nice to "find" a new relative.

Karla B.
