I recently learned that my GGGM, Jensine ANDERSEN married after giving birth to my GGF, Marinus PEDERSEN. His 1/2 siblings are mentioned in his obituary from 1959 as Martinus PAULSON of Hutchinson, Mcleod Couty,MN, and Walter, Martin, Emily and Laura PAULSON of Denver, Colorado. Martinus and Laura were nborn in Demanrk. Walter and Martin were born in MN.
It appears that Jensine married a man named PAULSEN/PAULSON in Denmark around 1882. He emigrated to Cottonwood County, MN in 1889 and she and the Paulson children joined him in 1890.
I was able to locate the family (with only the younger children at home) in the 1900 Cottonwood County census. It lists the head of the household as "Jim" PAULSON. His wife's name was "Sina", which would be a shortened version of Jensine. Children at home 1in 1900 included Walter, martime, Emma a son whose name began with Ef (rest was illegible). Jensine listed that in her life she has borne 13 children , 11 of whom were still alive in 1900.
I think I have located a death date for Martinus PAULSON in the MN Death Certificate Index, putting his death in 1963.
Martinus' wife's name was Thora. She emigrated from Denmark in 1914. Walter was found in the 1920 census living in Denver, Colorado with his wife, Mabel DeShain.
